Scott Walters of Theatre Ideas offers what is in my opinion an apt assessment of the theatre blogosphere in general and the recent race debate in particular.

London political blogger Penny Red weighs in on misogyny in the political blogosphere, particularly the treatment of women political bloggers.  (In spite of the fact that the theatre blogosphere has appeared until recently to be largely populated by men, it does not seem to have ever been plagued with the antifeminist sentiment found in some political blogs.)

Lee Strimbeck, Co-Artistic Director of WAM Theatre in Pittsfield, MA is working on a performance piece titled “I’m Not a Feminist, But...” I have lost count now of how many times I’ve heard another woman utter those exact words.  I wrote a post about this last year: “Me, a Feminist? No Way!”: Herein Lies the Problem.
